Boni Bonita
Brazil
Daniel Barosa
Beatriz is a 16-year-old girl from Argentina that after her mother’s death finds herself moving to Brazil to an absent father. In a concert, she meets Rogério, a musician on his late 30’s, struggling under the shadow of his grandfather’s successful musical heritage. Over the years, through distinct visits to Rogério’s family summerhouse in the paradisiac Jurumirim reservoir, this peculiar couple bond in an unusual way and initiate a story fueled by Beatriz’s misguided infatuation and Rogério’s frustrations as he searches for his moment of artistic brilliance. "Boni Bonita" is a romance modeled by mystery, lust and conducted like Rogério’s failed compositions: running in circles in search of perfection, but at each cycle, becoming more deformed.
